The solution to my problem: Employed
Individuals living alone or couples that both work outside the home have a need
for a better process to have their cars repaired when they break down. Often
times these individuals must burden others for transportation to and from the
auto repair shop, transportation to get around while their car is being repaired
and must make arrangements for others they are responsible for transporting. My
opportunity to the problem is an Auto Repair Concierge Service (ARCS). This
service would allow the owner of the car needing repairs to place a call to
ARCS letting them know they need help. From that point, ARCS will deliver a
rental at the owner’s home. ARCS will then drive the car needing repairs to the
shop or have it towed if it needs towing. ARCS will also have an app that the customer
can use to track the progress of repairs along the way to gain a better sense
of the completion time. The app will also provide such information as a
break-down of the repairs being performed and the costs associated with the repairs.
Once the repairs are completed, ARCS will deliver the repaired vehicle to the
customer’s doorstep and drive off in the rental the customer had been using while
their car was in the shop. ARCS can also partner with insurance companies to
provide their service to the insurance company’s policyholders for an added
premium. ARCS will simplify the auto repair experience that my interviewees
described as a hassle and a very frustrating one. ARCS will make repairing
one’s car a hassle-free auto repair experience.
While I highly respect and admire the opportunity you have chosen to solve, I also found interesting your naming of it “Auto Repair Concierge Service,” otherwise shortened to ARCS. Due to this abbreviation, I applaud you for making the name into a semblance of a word, which statistically demonstrates within the stock market that more investments can be made towards stocks names that are able to be pronounced. This also allows your solvency to thrive further if successful.
ReplyDeleteI believe your opportunity is a good one and I applaud you for choosing something that will help people out in their time of need. I wonder though how similar this idea is to a company like triple A. If so, you could pitch your idea to them and have it become a part of their services. Either way, I believe you have a solid plan thought out that has potential to make money and help people solve their car troubles.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great solution to the problem you presented in the previous post. By giving consumers a rental car to get them by while their car is being repaired they are not left completely without transport and can easily transition from needing their car repaired to having it sent in for repairs.This satisfaction and knowledge that they will not be without a vehicle will no doubt attract customers. Well done!
